Community Service
Our Community Service Program provides an integral part of the RCDS educational experience. We are committed to raising socially-aware and compassionate citizens, and the School devotes significant time and energy to serving the community through meaningful, hands-on activities.
As part of this ongoing effort, RCDS students regularly participate in activities that support local programs, such as the CROP Walk for Hunger, Meals on Wheels, SPCA, Holiday Express, Lunch Break, and Scarves for Soldiers. On a global level, a One for Books initiative supports Native American children and Change a Life supports an organization that is building and supporting schools in Uganda. As an extension of our student volunteer activities, many young RCDS alumni return to our campus each summer to volunteer in our own Horizons Student Enrichment Program.
Our most current project involves students planning, building, planting and caring for an organic garden located at The Grove in Shrewsbury. Click here to follow the progress of our growing garden on our blog page.
