Arts

The arts have always been an important part of our curriculum. The visual arts, woodshop, music, and drama have enriched our program since the school was founded. Students spend several periods each week drawing, painting, making ceramics and sculpture, woodworking, singing and playing instruments, and performing in class plays and drama clubs. Now a new arts experience, called "C-Period," offers all our students in grades 3-8 an additional weekly workshop in the visual arts, music, or the performing arts. And because there is such a wide variety of C-Period offerings, students have a whole new variety from which to choose, such as: set lighting and design, sports writing, fly-tying, jewelry making, playwriting, guitar, mosaic, print making, and chorus.
