Lower School students are encouraged to maintain a level of structured learning over the summer months. Reading on a daily basis, keeping a journal, and reviewing math facts are valuable activities that reap many academic rewards. Students also increase their motivation and self-confidence as well as learn to set manageable goals while tackling stimulating, fun challenges.
Attached you will find summer enrichment work for students entering grades B-4 in fall 2012. Click on the grade your child will be entering to find activities that integrate Reading, Math, Social Studies and Science skills and concepts that students can choose from. You will also find links to web sites to reinforce Math skills and concepts, as well as suggested book lists.
All completed work is to be handed into your child's new teacher on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 4th.
Also attached is our Suggested Summer Reading List from Mrs. Mendat.
